As you're reading this, about 350,000 single-use plastic straws are being used every minute in the US alone. A plastic straw is used for 20 mins on average before it ends up in our trash cans, and eventually, in our oceans, where it takes 100s of years to break down. A few minutes of convenience jeopardises our planet and its oceans for centuries.

 

About 30% of turtles are found to ingest plastic, with a 50% mortality thereafter - plastic kills our oceans and the life underneath.
